History

Founded by Delbert Dale in 1987, the choir has a membership of professional musicians, serious amateurs, and some gifted high-school students who meet for weekly rehearsals and perform 10-12 concerts each year.

Recent performances include the Indiana State Music Convention, the International Trumpet Guild Convention and the Great American Brass Band Festival.

High quality brass performances aid the music development at churches and other community organizations, and the donations collected at the concerts are given to several charity organizations.

The IBC provides a performance outlet for brass players, formation of new ensembles, first hearing of new arrangements, interaction with area church musicians, and encouragement of young musicians to further their music education.
